Step-by-step guide to online performances
- Choose an online performance from the programme.
- Purchase your ticket via the ticket link. You'll need an email address and an online payment method.
- You'll receive a personal access link by email.
- Save the performance date and time in your calendar.
- Open your link at the scheduled time and start watching.
- The sound is muted by default. Click "unmute" to turn it on.

On weekdays, we are usually available between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm. On livestream and online performance days, we are also available in the evening via email and through the Digitaal Theater chat function.
QUestions about tickets
Tickets can be purchased online and paid for using iDEAL | Wero or credit card.
Purchase your ticket using the ticket button. You'll need an email address and an online payment method. After your purchase, you will receive a personal access link by email. This link allows you to watch the performance at the specified date and time.
It can take a few minutes for the link to arrive. First, check your spam or junk mail folder. If you still haven't received the link after 10 minutes, please contact us at digitaaltheater@ndt.nl.
QUestions about watching a performance
Not all online performances are available in the same way. Some performances are livestreamed at a fixed time. Others are available as recordings during a limited viewing period. The programme page will indicate whether a performance is a livestream or a recording.
You will need an internet connection and a device that can play video. The stronger your internet connection, the better the viewing quality. If the video buffers frequently, you can lower the video quality in the settings.
That depends on the type of performance. Livestreams can only be viewed at a specific time. Recordings are usually available for 48 hours. The performance page will show exactly when the performance is available.
A livestream is watched live at a fixed time. It cannot be paused, rewound or watched later. A recording can be started at any time during the available viewing period.
No. Livestreams can only be viewed live at the scheduled time.
Only if it is a recording, and only during the viewing period indicated on the performance page. Afterwards, the performance is removed due to rights agreements.

Your personal link can be used on one device at a time to ensure the best viewing experience.
Once the viewing period ends, the performance is taken offline due to agreements with choreographers, composers and other rights holders.

You can watch performances on a desktop computer, laptop, mobile phone or tablet.
Yes. Many visitors start the performance on a laptop, tablet or phone and then cast it to their TV.
There are different ways to do so, depending on your devices.
Casting with Chromcast from the Chrome browser
- Make sure the laptop, tablet, or mobile device you use to watch the performance is connected to the same Wi‑Fi network as your Chromecast.
- Open the performance in the latest version of the Google Chrome browser.Bronnen
- Click the three dots icon, top right in your screen
- Go to the casting menu and select the Chromecast device.
Casting with Chromecast from the videoplayer
- Make sure the laptop, tablet, or mobile device you use to watch the performance is connected to the same Wi‑Fi network as your Chromecast.
- Open the performance in the latest version of the Google Chrome browser.Bronnen
- If you're on the right wifi, bottom right you'll see a Chromecast icon. Click the icon and select your Chromecast to start casting.
- The icon does not appear? Try using the browser to cast.
Casten via Airplay / Apple TV
- Make sure your device on which you are watching the performance (laptop, tablet or phone) and your Apple TC or tv with AirPlay-support are connected to the same wifi network.
- Open the performance in Safari
- If you're on the right network you'll see an AirPlay icon bottom right. Click the icon to start casting.
- The icon does not appear? Try casting via MacOS or iOS.
