Season 2026-2027

For over 65 years, experimentation has been a vital part of NDT's identity. It has defined our way of thinking and making, and how we shape the world of dance.

In the 2026–2027 season, we continue this journey, grounded in curiosity, openness, and risk, creating works with courage while never losing sight of who we are.

NDT Online

At NDT, we want to offer unique experiences in dance to audiences around the world. In addition to our live performances in theatres, we organise a range of online performances that invite you to experience NDT closer than ever before.

This season, the dancers of NDT 1 and NDT 2 will tour throughout the Netherlands and all over the world. In Digital Theatre we present a selection of performances as a recording or livestream; from much-loved works to world premieres. These performances or available for a limited time only, so don’t miss out!

This season you can look forward to the following online performances:

NDT Creation House

A catalyst for the future of dance

At NDT, we are a house of creation and a leader in contemporary dance. Through our Maker Pathway, we offer diverse opportunities that empower emerging, mid-career, and established artists to develop their craft—whether at NDT or in collaboration with our longtime partner, Korzo. By embracing new voices and perspectives, we act as a catalyst for a vibrant and sustainable future in dance.

With tailored programmes at every stage of an artist’s journey, we connect with new makers early, nurturing their development through choreographic labs, workshops, internships, and micro-residencies. Working closely with local dance communities and creative partners, we invest in talent and innovation.

Together with longstanding collaborator Korzo, we provide artists with research, creation, and production opportunities. Here We Live and Now showcases talented makers from The Hague, and Up & Coming Lab and Up & Coming Choreographers create space for emerging makers to research, develop, and produce work with the dancers of NDT 2. With our annual and much-loved Switch programme, we also support the development of our own dancers—giving them the opportunity to discover and develop their choreographic voices and artistic identity.

Additionally, we continue to deepen the relationship with our associate choreographers—artists whose vision enriches NDT’s repertoire and aligns with our artistic identity. Our pool of associate choreographers consists of Crystal Pite, Marco Goecke, Marcos Morau, Jermaine Spivey, and Imre van Opstal & Marne van Opstal.
