About the performance

Morau is renowned for creating visually striking works that feel both deeply human and surreal. As in his previous creations for NDT, such as Folkå (2021) and Horses (2024), he is a master at combining abstract movement with theatrical detail, resulting in a bold theatrical experience that stays with you long after the performance.

In this new work, created in collaboration with the dancers of NDT 1, Morau presents a striking landscape set to the evocative music of Benjamin Clementine. Each song acts as a door opening onto a world that accelerates, fragments, and observes itself with growing unease. Loneliness, loss, and the desire to belong become visible in the dancers’ bodies, not as individual stories, but as a shared truth.

In essence, this creation is a cry for something simple yet urgent: closeness.
Morau portrays a shared ritual on stage in which, for as long as the music plays, we can trust in our ability to connect and come together—even when our reality seems to suggest otherwise.
