Opportunities for makers

Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) is a leading contemporary dance company. NDT is made up of two companies of extraordinary dancers: NDT 1 and NDT 2. The dancers of NDT 1 are aged 24 and over and perform at the highest professional level in contemporary dance. NDT 2 consists of dancers aged 17 to 23 who are at the beginning of their careers. Both companies perform nationally and internationally.

As a house of creation, we place great value on experimentation, collaboration, and the development of dance artists. That is why we have created different programmes for dancers and makers at various stages of their careers, supporting them in their growth and development. By giving space to new voices and perspectives, we help shape the future of both NDT and the wider dance field.

Opportunities for dancers

NDT’s Dancer Pathway supports dancers at different stages of their careers. From young and pre-professional dancers to the dancers of NDT 1 and NDT 2, as well as new opportunities for development within the profession. Through auditions, training, creation, touring, workshops and development programmes, dancers are given the space to explore, create and continue developing throughout their careers.
