Enjoy the most beautiful and surprising dance moments
Come visit Amare’s dance theatre! Every year, we create a performance showcasing the most beautiful and surprising dance moments of NDT 2. Children from grades 5 to 8 will go to Amare together and learn all about dance with our accessible lesson plans and a dance workshop in the classroom.

Practical information
NDT On Stage takes place on:
31 March t/m 2 April 2027
- All performances will be held at Amare theatre in the city centre of The Hague
- The participation fee for the project is €7,50 per student, minumum of two classes per school.
- The performance duration is ± 60 minutes
- The workshop requires a lockable room of min. 64m2
- When registering, please mention the lesson times at your school
- State your preferences for the performance date and workshop date on the registration form
Transport
Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) is obliged to pass on part of the transport costs to the participating schools. Different arrangements apply to schools both within and outside The Hague. If the cost of coach transport poses an obstacle to participation in the project, schools may contact NDT to find a solution.
Transport to the theatre can be requested for schools from The Hague via Cultuurschakel. The bus fare is €350 excluding VAT, but thanks to the financial contribution of the municipality of The Hague, schools pay €200 excluding VAT per bus. The bus company operates buses for both 50 and 60 people.
Please note: The price per bus for both schools in The Hague and schools outside The Hague is subject to change and may still be adjusted.
Another option is travelling with HTM, using an HTM Kinder Groepskaart. At the time of writing, this costs €27.50 for 10 pupils and 2 supervisors. More information can be found at htm.nl
Good news for young travellers: Starting today, children aged 4 to 11 in The Hague can apply for a special OV-chip card that allows them to travel free of charge on HTM buses and trams. Parents can apply for the card at denhaag.nl/kidsvoorniks.
Schools outside The Hague can apply directly to Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) for transport to the theatre. The bus fare for 2027 will be around €340.00 excluding VAT per coach. NDT will reimburse half of this fare.

- Schools in The Hague can register via Cultuurschakel. The deadline for registration is 15 June 2026.
NDT contact will let you know whether your school can be placed for participation no later than the week of 29 June.
