How to get there

Amare is easy to reach by public transport.
- From The Hague Central Station, it is about a 5-minute walk via the Turfmarkt.
- From Holland Spoor station, it is about a 15-minute walk.
- From the tram and bus stops Spui, Kalvermarkt/Stadhuis and Centrum, it is about a 10-minute walk to Amare.
Its easiest to reach Amare by public transport. Prefer to come by car? Amare is located in an environmental zone. Check carefully if your car is allowed. Amare does not operate a car park itself and does not issue parking tickets.
Parking information
There are several car parks near Amare, including Q-Park Spui, Stadhuis, Turfmarkt, Muzenplein en Centrum.
- At Muzenplein, you can park all evening from 6:00 PM for €15. This parking garage is a 5-minute walk from Amare.
- Q-Park City Parking has the same offer and is a 10-minute walk.
- At Helicon, about a 6-minute walk from Amare, you can park between 5:00 PM and 2:00 AM from €7.50.
- The Hague also offers several Park + Ride (P+R) locations. Here, you can park your car on the outskirts of the city at a low rate and continue your journey to the city centre by public transport.
Accessible parking spaces:
- Fluwelen Burgwal 2 (2 spaces, approximately 300 metres from Amare)
- Fluwelen Burgwal 56 (3 spaces, approximately 250 metres from Amare)
- Fluwelen Burgwal 45: 1 space, only on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, approximately 250 metres from Amare.
- Kalvermarkt 5 (1 space, maximum stay of 2 hours, approximately 100 metres from Amare)
- Kalvermarkt 30 (4 spaces, approximately 200 metres from Amare)
No rights can be derived from these prices. For up-to-date information, always refer to the website of the relevant parking garage.
Start time
Our performances start at 7:45 PM and last no more than 2 hours. We kindly ask you to arrive on time. Once the performance has started, we will no longer be able to admit you.
The introduction starts at 7:00 PM. During the introduction, we share more about the background of the performance. The language of the introduction varies: sometimes it is in Dutch, sometimes in English.
Drinks
During the first intermission you can get one free drink at the bar. The bar is also open before the performance and during a possible second intermission.
Lockers and Cloackroom
There is a free cloakroom. You can also put your coat or bag in a locker. The lockers can be found next to the cloakroom. You do not need a coin or debit card. Please note that bags larger than A4 size cannot be taken into the theatre.
Photography
You are not allowed to take photos or videos during the performance. Please turn your phone off or on ‘silent’ during the performance. After the performance during bows it is allowed. Don't forget to tag us @ndtdance

Assistance / Wheelchair spaces
We want to be accessible to everyone.Do you need help around your visit? Then please indicate this when booking and we will make sure someone is ready to help you. For example, it is possible to have your consumption in the hall during the break. One of our hostesses or hosts can bring your drink to your seat.

Information about the programme
Programme booklet
Before the performance, you will receive a programme booklet from us. The booklet includes a QR code that gives you access to more information and content related to the performance.
At NDT, we are working on sustainability. That is why we have decided to encourage re-use. Don’t want to take your programme booklet home? Hand it in after the performance in the designated pile at ticket control.
Introduction
At 7:00 PM, you can join the introduction in the Spinoza Foyer. It lasts approximately half an hour and takes you into the story behind the performance. Admission is free and no reservation is required. The introduction is held alternately in English and Dutch.
