Nederlands Balletgala

On 2 November 2026, the Nederlands Balletgala takes place at the Stadsschouwburg in Amsterdam. During this benefit evening, organised by renowned ballet couple Alexandra Radius and Han Ebbelaar, the leading figures of the Dutch dance world come together each year, and of course NDT will be there once again.

For this evening, NDT 2 will perform excerpts from The Big Crying (2021) by associate choreographer Marco Goecke, an emotional work about grief, loss, and our unstoppable urge to live. Set to the powerful music of Tori Amos, the work pushes the dancers to their physical limits through Goecke’s signature razor-sharp and lightning-fast movement language. The work is a true audience favourite, and we are proud to present it on this special evening. Alongside our extraordinary dancers, the other major Dutch dance companies will also take part, showcasing both emerging and established dance talent.

The Nederlands Balletgala is the perfect evening to support a good cause, enjoy the very best of Dutch dance, and experience one of Marco Goecke’s most personal works live once again. We can’t wait.
