In a close collaboration between NDT and Korzo, Up & Coming Choreographers offers talented emerging makers the opportunity to create a work for NDT 2. The project serves as a platform to support new voices, experimentation, and exchange, and concludes with performances in the intimate setting of the Korzo theatre in The Hague. For this season, we have invited Rachelle Scott and Tom Weinberger as our Up & Coming Choreographers. These inspiring new voices offer a glimpse into the future of contemporary dance, and we are proud to support their artistic development.
Performance dates 7 until11 July 2026
The performances of Up & Coming Choreographers will take place at Korzo Theater in The Hague.

World premiere
Rachelle Scott
Rachelle Scott is an emerging choreographer and performing artist. After graduating from the Alvin Ailey School and Juilliard, Scott became a member of the Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, a soloist dancer with Nürnberg Ballett Staatstheater, and is currently a member of Theater Basel. Her choreographic work has been performed by various dance companies and received awards from Dare 2 Dance Film Festival and the Mannheim Arts and Film Festival, among others. -
World premiere
Tom Weinberger
Tom Weinberger (Israel) graduated from the Amal School of Arts and Sciences. Upon graduation he joined the Batsheva Ensemble and the Batsheva Dance Company, where he also started his choreographic journey. In 2012 he became a founding member of S-E-D (formerly known as L-E-V) under Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar. Tom danced with companies such as Gothenburg Ballet (Sweden), Winterguests of Alan Lucien Oyen (Norway), Emanuel Gat Dance (France), was a guest artist with Michael Keegan Dolan’s - Fabulous Beast Dance Theater (UK) and with The Forsythe Company (Germany). Weinberger has choreographed works for GöteborgsOperansDanskompani, Johannes Wieland Dance Company and Ate9 Dance Company, Haramt Massah Festival, Arts Umbrella, NSP2, Tanz Luzern, Iceland Dance Company, GoteborgsOperan DansKompani, St Gallen Dance, Gaertner Platz,Inbal Dance Company and more. He also created a site-specific work for NDT 2: The Most Fascinating Problem In The World (2021).
