Nicole Ishimaru

Started at NDT in 2017

Nicole Ishimaru was born in California, United States. She trained at the Dmitri Kulev Classical Ballet Academy and the Westside Dance Project. During and after her training, she worked on the production Pearl by Daniel Ezralow and danced with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago II and Ate9 Dance Company. In 2017, she joined NDT 2. In 2020, she moved to NDT 1, where she is now a member. During her studies, she received several awards, including the Grand Prize at the Music Center Spotlight Awards and a Gold Award from the National YoungArts Foundation.
