How and why did you become a professional dancer?
What is about NDT that inspires/challenges/deepens your artistry?
“I think NDT is full of curiosity, which is something I've always been myself. There's a lot of space for research, for questions and for play. It's ever evolving which makes it never boring. And NDT encourages me to keep on growing. To find out what I want to say as an artist and what I want to convey to the people around me.”
How do you think art impacts your personal life, and the way you view the world?
“I think art makes me conscious about the little things in life. Things we don't often stop and take moment for. I think there's a lot of art in the world that we don't notice in an instant. Until you take the time to do. And it's in the people around you, things on the street, things that you hear. And the moment you start to notice, the world turns into a work of art on its own.
And art gives me a deeper connection to myself. It lets me reflect on things that I feel and things I want to express. And it brings me closer to the people I get to experience the art with.”
I hope I can bring a sense of escapism. A moment where all of us in the room can feel whatever we want to feel and get the liberty to express this. A moment where time is just a concept and the limits of anything have not been found yet. A moment where we all have the courage to be vulnerable and be curious. And lastly, I hope I can bring a sense of humanity, I whatever way or form this may reach our dear audience.
