Golden Rules
We want NDT to be a safe place for everyone. For people who are part of our organisation, collaborate with us, or visit our performances. We are committed to this every day.
To make sure that everyone feels welcome, safe, seen, and valued, we created our Golden Rules. These rules show how we work together, communicate and treat each other.
At NDT, we agree to the following:
- NDT is a safe place for everyone, from employees to visitors.
- We do not accept unwanted behaviour, such as (sexual) abuse, aggression, violence, bullying, intimidation, discrimination, racism, transphobia, or homophobia.
- Everyone connected to NDT helps create a safe working environment where people treat each other with respect.
- Inclusion is part of everything we do. We keep this in mind in the choices we make.
- We know that NDT and the people who work here sometimes have more opportunities than others. That is why we take responsibility for the dance world and the world around us.
- We are curious, appreciate each other, and dare to challenge each other.
- We respect every person and treat each other with dignity. For us, dignity means that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and to feel valued, both within NDT and beyond.
- We think about our own behaviour and the way we look at others. We are also open to ideas and feedback from colleagues.
- We reflect on how our behaviour affects others.
- We talk with each other, not about each other. We also do not form opinions about a situation or person without knowing all the facts.
- We stay in touch with each other, not only when something happens.
- We look after each other. Together, we are responsible for everyone’s health and for making sure people feel safe.
