Our mission is to nurture creativity and connection through dance. We support artistic expression and work closely with artists from diverse backgrounds around the world. We believe that art can build understanding, encourage dialogue and reach beyond geographical or political boundaries.

We remain committed to supporting artists and their work as a meaningful way to strengthen cultural connection and mutual understanding, especially in challenging times. Our partnerships grow from shared creative values and honour the unique voice each artist brings. By uplifting artists and their work, we help reinforce cultural bonds, deepen understanding across differences and contribute to a more peaceful world.

NDT upholds artistic freedom practiced with responsibility. We treat all artists equally and create an environment grounded in respect, dignity and safety. We do not collaborate with individuals or institutions that are complicit in human rights violations. We follow Dutch government policies, including travel advisories and sanctions, and safeguard our independence through strict due diligence in our funding. Complex decisions are made through a transparent and structured process that includes both internal and external perspectives. This framework remains open and evolving, shaped by ongoing reflection and dialogue.
