Practical Information

We look forward to welcoming you to the perfomance. Prepare for your visit and get the most out of the evening.

Start time

Our performances start at 19:45 and last around of 2,5 hours.

Please be on time, once a performance has started you won’t be able to enter the dance theatre anymore.

At 19:00 you are welcome to join our free introduction to the programme. This alternates between Dutch and English depending on who is in the audience. The introduction offers more context regarding the programme.

How to get there

Public Transport
Nederlands Dans Theater is located in Amare on the Spuiplein, in the centre of The Hague. From The Hague Central Station, it can be reached on foot in about 5 minutes. To do so, walk down the Turfmarkt. From Holland Spoor station, it’s about a 15-minute walk. Tram and bus stops at Spui, Kalvermarkt/Stadhuis and Centrum will bring you in front of Amare’s door.

By Bike
We advise you to park your bike in the guarded bike park of Biesieklette Stadhuis or Spuiplein. Pay close attention to the closing times!

By Car
The city centre is easiest to reach by public transport. Prefer to come by car? There are several car parks near Amare, such as  Q-Park SpuiStadhuisTurfmarktMuzenplein and Veerkaden. At Q-Park City Parking, you can park all evening (from 18:00) for €15. This car park is a 10-minute walk from Amare. More information via this link.

Amare is located in an environmental zone. Check carefully if your car is allowed. Amare does not operate a car park itself and does not issue parking tickets.

Drinks

During the first intermission, you can get a free drink at the bar. The bar will also be open prior to the performance and during the second intermission.

Lockers and Cloackroom

There is a free cloakroom. You can also put your coat or bag in a locker. The lockers can be found next to the cloakroom. You do not need a coin or debit card. Please note that bags larger than A4 size cannot be taken into the theatre.

Wifi

Amare switched to the secure publicroam wifi. To use the wifi you need to create a free account and after this you will automatically connect to publicroam wherever it is available, also outside Amare. Publicroam is available in many places in the Netherlands.

Photography

You are not allowed to take photos or videos during the performance. Please turn your phone off or on ‘silent’ during the performance.

Assistance / Wheelchair places

We want to be accessible to everyone.

Do you need help around your visit? Then please indicate this when booking and we will make sure someone is ready to help you. For example, it is possible to have your consumption in the hall during the break. One of our hostesses or hosts can bring your drink to your seat. We can also help visitors with a Car Pass around their visit.

Information about the programme

Programme book
Before the performance, we will give you a programme book. This programme book contains a QR code that gives you access to more information and content surrounding the performance.

At NDT, we are working on sustainability. That is why we have decided to encourage re-use. Don’t want to take your programme booklet home? Hand it in after the performance in the designated pile at ticket control.

Introduction
At 19:00, you can join the introduction in the Spinoza Foyer. This will last about half an hour and will take you through the story behind the performance. Admission is free and on a walk-in basis. The spoken language will alternate between English and Dutch.
