Marne van Opstal (The Netherlands) graduated from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. He danced from 2009 to 2012 with NDT 2 and then with NDT 1 until August 2020. Together with his sister Imre van Opstal (a former dancer of NDT 1) he created LiNK and John Doe for Up & Coming Choreographers in 2014 and 2015. In 2017 they created The Grey with NDT 2 and then in 2019 the choreographers duo created their first work for NDT 1, Take Root, which received a Zwaan nomination for ‘Best dance production’. During this edition of YTP, Marne created a new work with the dance students.

NDT. Proudly from The Hague for 65 years
Without The Hague, there would be no Nederlands Dans Theater. From our home base, we’ve been touring the world with our dance performances for decades — always carrying the heart and soul of The Hague with us.
