Here you will find an overview of the most frequently asked questions and answers regarding Nederlands Dans Theater’s video on demand.

How does it work?

Step 1: Choose when you want to watch

NDT aims to offer a number of performances online each season. This way our international fans can enjoy dance from the comfort of their own home. Click here to be notified by us of new online performances.

On 24 April, from 00:01 A.M. to 23:59 P.M. (CET), watch Triple bill online.
On 25 April, from 00:01 A.M. to 23:59 P.M. (CET), watch In the Dutch Mountains online.
Both a unique chance to watch this performance if you can't make it to the theatre, or if you want to see the performance again.

PLEASE NOTE: The performance is available until 23:59 (CET) on 1 specific day. After this time, the performance will no longer be available to watch. The performance lasts approximately 1.5 hours. So do make sure you start the performance on time to see it in full length.
Watching from abroad? make sure you know when you can watch.

Step 2: Buy your ticket

Go to the order page and fill in the form. We need your e-mail address to send your ticket to. After payment, you will receive a unique link within 15 minutes, which is valid on the day in question. In the e-mail and via the link, you will again find for which date and time your ticket is valid.

Step 3: Mark it in your calendar

If you bought your ticket long in advance, put the correct time and date in your calendar. That way you won't forget the performance when the time comes!
Do you live in a country other than the Netherlands? Do a time zone check just to be sure. You can do that easily via this website.

Step 4: Watch our online performance!

You can watch, pause and resume the show whenever you want. Just make sure you have watched it all the way through on the relevant day before 23:59 CET. After that, watching is no longer possible.

Questions about viewing the performance

When can I watch the Triple bill online?

On 24 April, from 00:01:00 to 23:59 (CET), watch Triple bill featuring Ten Duets on a Theme of Rescue by Crystal Pite, About Now by Noé Soulier and Impasse by Johan Inger online.
On 25 April, from 00:01 to 23:59 (CET), watch In the Dutch Mountains online.
Both a unique chance to watch this performance if you can't make it to the theatre, or if you want to see the performance again.

Where can I watch the video?

The video can basically be played on any screen: on your PC, laptop, phone or tablet. For the most optimal theater experience, we recommend using as large a screen as possible, or for example by connecting your laptop to a television.

What do I need to watch the video?

You need a few things to watch the video:
- A device to watch the video on. Preferably a tablet, laptop or PC, but the video can also be viewed on a smartphone.
- The device should at least have a recent browser (such as: Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari) and a good internet connection. Via a landline cable works best, but via WIFI or 4G is also possible.
- The unique, personal access link. You will receive this via email once we have received your payment.

Can I switch devices while watching the video?

You can, just make sure you copy and paste the URL from the email into on the desired device/in the desired browser.

With how many people can I watch the video?

You will receive a unique link after payment. Do not share it with others.

 

Can I watch the video from abroad?

Yes, it is possible!

Which browsers are suitable for viewing the performance?

The video works best on an Internet browser that is up to date. Suitable browsers for example include Google Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

As of when can I watch the video?

Will there be remote assistance for (technical) questions?

Are you having technical difficulty or having trouble finding the answer in our FAQ? Please send an email to digitaaltheater@ndt.nl  Our helpdesk will be available on the 24th and 25th of April between 09:00 and 17:00 CET for any questions you may have.

How many times can I watch the performance?

The performance can be seen a total of three times. However, it can be stopped and paused unlimited times. If you do wish to see it more than three times, please contact us at info@ndt.nl.

When is the helpdesk available?

On 24 and 25 April 2024, our chat and helpdesk will be available all day between office hours from 09:00-17:00 CET.

Questions about casting the performance

How can I cast to Chromecast from the Google Chrome browser?

  1. Make sure the laptop, tablet of phone that you're using to watch the event is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the Chromecast.
  2. Open the event in the latest version of the Google Chrome browser.
  3. Next, click the icon with three dots in the upper right corner of the Chrome window.
  4. Open the cast menu and select the Chromecast device to which you want to cast.

How can I cast to an Apple TV or a television with Airplay support from the video player?

  1. Make sure the laptop, tablet of phone that you're using to watch the event is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the Apple TV or television with Airplay support.
  2. Open the event in the Safari browser.
  3. When you're connected to the right network you should see an Airplay icon in the bottom right corner of the video player. Click this icon to start casting to your Apple TV.
  4. Don't see an icon in the player? Try casting directly from your operating system, MacOS or iOS.

How can I cast to Chromecast from the video player?

  1. Make sure the laptop, tablet of phone that you're using to watch the event is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the Chromecast.
  2. Open the event in the latest version of the Google Chrome browser.
  3. When you're connected to the right network you should see a Chromecast icon in the bottom right corner of the video player. Click this icon to start casting.
  4. Don't see an icon in the player? Try casting directly from the Google Chrome browser (See below for further information).

Questions about technical assistance

The video won't play, what now?

If you are unable to play the video after purchasing the link, first check that you have accepted cookies. If the video does not start running automatically, see if you can click "play" yourself.

What should I do if I don't see anything on the screen or my screen freezes?

It is often sufficient to refresh the page your browser.This can be done via F5 on the keyboard (Windows) or Command ⌘ + R (Mac). Often the browser also has an icon (round arrow) that can be used to refresh the page. Click the "start video" button and then the play button to start the video.

If the video is still not working properly, you can try the following options:
- Check the access link. Is it the correct link from the confirmation email?
- Check your browser and if it has been recently updated. Suitable browsers are Google Chrome, Firefox en Safari.
- Check that your device's battery is sufficiently charged.

What should I do if I experience problems ordering the ticket?

I can't find my link, what should I do now?

Your unique link was sent to the email address you used to purchase a ticket immediately after you completed your order and payment. See if the email ended up in your spam folder. The subject of the email begins with: "Here you go, your unique access link for...". If you really can't find the mail, please contact our help desk at digitaaltheater@ndt.nl. Our staff will be available online on the 24th and 25th between 09:00 and 17:00 CET to assist you further.

Questions about purchasing a ticket

Can I return or exchange my online tickets?

You can exchange your tickets for another online performance (if available) or return them in their entirety up to 24 hours before the start of the online performance. Contact our helpdesk to do so via digitaaltheater@ndt.nl.

I have a question about my online ticket, how do I get in touch?

I forgot about the online performance

We're sorry to hear this! Unfortunatly we can not help you with this. Therefore we advise you to mark the performance in your calendar after purchasing a ticket.

I lost my ticket for the online performance
