Tom Weinberger (Israel) graduated from the Amal School of Arts and Sciences. Afterwards, he joined the Batsheva Ensemble and the Batsheva Dance Company, under artistic director Ohad Naharin. In 2012 he became a founding member of L-E-V under Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar. Weinberger danced with companies such as Gothenburg Ballet (Sweden), Winterguests of Alan Lucien Oyen (Norway), Emanuel Gat Dance (France), and was a guest artist with Michael Keegan Dolan’s – Fabulous Beast Dance Theater (UK), and The Forsythe Company (Germany).
He began choreographing under ‘Batsheva Dancers Create’ during his time with the company. In 2014 his first solo work won the International Solo Tanz Theater Festival (Stuttgart) which toured in Europe and South America. Since, Tom has choreographed works for Johannes Wieland Company, Ate9, Springboard Danse Montreal, Haramt Massah Festival, Arts Umbrella, NSP2, Tanz Luzern, Iceland Dance Company, GoteborgsOperan DansKompani, St Gallen Dance, Gaertner Platz,Inbal Dance Company and more.
He also created a site-specific work for NDT 2: The Most Fascinating Problem In The World (2021).
