Juliano Nunes was born in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in 1990. He studied at the Academy of Dance at the University of Performing Arts in Mannheim (Germany). He joined companies such as the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Theater Hagen, Gauthier Dance in Stuttgart, Leipziger Ballet and now dances for the Royal Ballet of Flanders. Juliano has worked with choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Jiří Kylián, Hans van Manen, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, William Forsythe, Akram Kahn and among others. As a choreographer he has created pieces on Marie-Agnès Gillot (étoile of Paris Opera Ballet), Svetlana Lunkina and Evan Mckie both principal dancers with the National Ballet of Canada. In season 2018-2019, he created Mirros of Life for NDT 2’s Up & Coming Choreographers.
