Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) is one of the world’s leading contemporary dance companies. Behind the scenes, a dedicated team of around 70 professionals ensures every performance is a world-class experience. From light and sound design to medical support and education, every detail matters — and so do you.

We are looking for a colleague to join our Talent development & Education department. The T&E department consists of a team of eight enthusiastic and professional education creators, producers and programme planners.

What You’ll Do

The T&E department develops and produces educational programmes for children and young people in primary and secondary education, and for students in secondary and higher vocational education. We bring movement to groups of people and seek connection through dance. In addition, the department organises and produces a varied and intensive programme for young dance professionals both in The Hague and during tours. Your work will be varied and challenging:

  • In this position, you will be responsible for the production, planning and sales/communication of the educational programming for young professionals and (young) audiences.

You will conduct regular evaluations to monitor progress, costs and planning and make adjustments where necessary.
  • You organise the collaboration process between all NDT departments and external parties that contribute to the implementation of the projects to ensure that they run smoothly. You arrange the business assignments for hiring (freelance) teachers, dancers, rehearsal directors and choreographers, as specified by the manager and education creators.
  • You consider it important that all conditions are in place to successfully complete the work, and you create harmonious cooperation with all parties involved.

Who are you?

Besides a passion for organising and planning projects, you recognise yourself in the following:

  • You have at least a higher professional education (HBO) level of working and thinking and preferably a master in art education or art and management education.
  • You have approximately 3 years of work experience.
  • You speak and write both Dutch and English.
  • Software skills in Yesplan, Monday en excel is preferred.
  • You have demonstrable affinity and experience with dance and talent development.
  • You have a passion for art and culture, contemporary dance and NDT in particular.
  • You are sociable, able to persuade people and enjoy negotiating.
  • You are a real go-getter and like to be in control.
  • You enjoy working with a team towards a final goal/result.

What We Offer
