In season 2025-2026 we bring you bold, thought-provoking contemporary dance at its finest, featuring acclaimed artists from all over the world. Ticket sales for the performances in Amare, The Hague start Thursday April 10 at 12PM.
You can now apply to audition for NDT 1 for our 2026-2027 season. This audition is private and by invitation only.
NDT 1 seeks highly skilled dance artists interested in a collaborative contemporary dance environment. The artists should possess an extensive background and understanding of contemporary and classical techniques with experience in improvisation. Candidates should have refined artistry, enabling them to contribute to the creative processes within the company’s diverse and dynamic repertoire.
| ✓ Professional experience | Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience. |
| ✓️ Age | Applicants must be born before 12th of January 2003 to apply for NDT 1 auditions.
Dancers born between the 12th of January 2003 and the 13th of August 2008 can only apply for NDT 2. More information on the NDT 2 auditions |
Your application should include:
✓ Your headshot
✓ Your CV
✓ A short motivational statement – In no more than 300 characters can you tell us why you would like to join NDT 1 and what you would contribute to the company.
✓ A video (10 minutes maximum in length) including: excerpts of contrasting contemporary repertoire and 1 to 2 minutes of uninterrupted improvisation that displays contrasting phrasing, dynamics, and use of space.
– Use YouTube only to upload your video.
– Do not edit the music in your video. We’d prefer to view your excerpts with the original music / score.
– In your video you must be clearly visible.
