About the programme

Choreographer Ohad Naharin, an unparalleled voice in the world of contemporary dance, continues to reinvent himself time and again.

Naharin began working with NDT more than 30 years ago, resulting in the creation of the acclaimed Minus 16 (1999) for NDT 2, as well as performances of beloved works from his repertoire, including The Hole (2013), which NDT 1 performed in the NDT Blackbox in 2023, to sold-out audiences and rave reviews..

In June and July 2026, we continue our long-standing collaboration with Naharin and present his latest groundbreaking creation (2025) in the NDT Blackbox.

For, Naharin collaborated with DJ Tai Rona, and together they created an immersive dance and sound experience in an intimate space where there is no longer any distance between audience and dancer.

In , the audience is fully immersed in Naharin’s world—filled with theatricality, multilingual singing, dynamics, and humanity.

premiered last December with Batsheva Dance Company and can be seen exclusively in The Hague at NDT. The production will not tour the Netherlands.

Ohad Naharin has been a close collaborator of NDT for many years, and we are very proud to welcome him back with his current creation ZŌ. The work is a powerful and exhilarating expression of Naharin’s artistic voice, reflecting his ongoing research into how space and location shape the relationship between dancers, audience, and the work itself. We look forward to welcoming everyone into our NDT Black Box to experience ZŌ and our remarkable dancers closer than ever.

Artistic Director – NDT

Over the years, NDT has maintained its integrity, quality, and appreciation for dance as an art form. Together with the remarkable people who make up the organisation, it remains an ideal place for me to return to.
