Vol zelfvertrouwen, met nieuwe inspirerende inzichten en niet te vergeten nieuwe vriendschappen! We wensen ze heel veel succes en wellicht zien we enkelen van weer terug in de NDT studio's.

Programma

De tweeweekse NDT Summer Intensive is bedoeld voor (pre-)professionele dansers. Ze maken kennis met verschillende dansstijlen en manieren van werken met als doel een zo volledige mogelijk danservaring te creëren. De lessen bouwen voort op de technische basis van de student, evenals op improvisatievaardigheden. Ze passen wat ze leren direct toe in verschillende onderdelen van het programma, waaronder NDT-repertoire en de mogelijkheid om nieuw werk te creëren.

De deelnemers trainen tegelijkertijd hun vaardigheden op het gebied van duetwerk (partnering), solo, groepswerk en compositie. Daarnaast zijn er extra activiteiten zoals panelgesprekken en ontmoetingen met choreografen, dansers en medewerkers van NDT. Zo leren de deelnemers niet alleen veel over dans, maar bouwen ze ook waardevolle contacten op. Vaak ontstaan vriendschappen en samenwerkingen die nog lang na de Summer Intensive blijven bestaan!

"The quality of the repertoire we will be performing and the artists who will be teaching it is something singular about this Intensive and undoubtedly one of the things I am most looking forward to. I also can't wait to meet all talented dancers who will be joining me and to learn from them throughout those two weeks. Whenever I enter a new environment, I feel incredibly inspired by the people around me, and that particularly excites me about this experience, as I know every dancer will be exceptional.

It is understandable that training of this quality comes at a significant cost and is not always affordable for every dancer. "My name is Love Kotiya, and I am from India. I started ballet at the age of 15 after first dancing street styles and acrobatics. I never expected ballet to become my path, but it opened a completely new world for me and changed my life.

When I first saw Nederlands Dans Theater perform in London, it felt like magic. I left the theatre feeling like I had discovered a new way of seeing dance. Since then, I have dreamed of being part of that environment and learning from the artists around me.

Maandag 27 juli: We zijn van start!

Ze zijn er helemaal klaar voor: 60 jonge verwachtingsvolle dansers vanuit de hele wereld zijn begonnen aan twee weken vol trainingen, creatieve sessies, ontmoeting en uitwisseling. Nu nog wat onwennig, maar we weten dat ze na de Summer Intensive blakend van zelfvertrouwen en vol van nieuwe inzichten weer huiswaarts gaan!
