How and why did you become a professional dancer?

“My education at Arts Umbrella played a significant role in becoming a professional dancer. It expanded my perspective on the possibilities in dance, fostered a deep sense of curiosity, and gave me experience in a professional environment. I pursue dance because it allows me to share experiences with others and engage with audiences, dancers, and fellow artists, while also giving me the opportunity to do something I am deeply passionate about every day.”

How do you think art impacts your personal life, and the way you view the world?

“Art encourages me to think more deeply and remain curious about the world around me. It shapes the way I understand myself and how I view the ways others think and experience life. It also helps me recognize how much art exists in everyday moments that are often overlooked. In doing so, it reveals the subtle parallels between art and daily life.”

What do you hope to bring to the audience as an artist?

“I hope to share my artistic identity with audiences, allowing them to experience the sense of presence that dance brings to me. I want them to question, think, and engage in conversation with others about the raw emotions that arise when witnessing this living art form.”
