Begon bij NDT in 2023
Maša Anić is geboren in Novi Sad in Servië en heeft de Servische en Kroatische nationaliteit. Ze volgde haar opleiding aan de Ballet School ‘Lujo Davičo’, maar bracht het grootste deel van haar voorprofessionele jaren door bij dansstudio Dance Factory, waar zij zich ontwikkelde in uiteenlopende dansstijlen. Tijdens haar studie deed zij werkervaring op bij Bitef Dance Company en het National Theatre in Belgrado. In 2023 ontving zij de Terpsihora Award. In augustus 2023 sloot zij zich aan bij NDT 2 en vanaf seizoen 2026-2027 sluit ze aan bij NDT 1.

How and why did you become a professional dancer?
“I started dancing when I was five years old, so dance has shaped every part of who I am. Working in a theatre was always my dream, and getting to live that reality every day feels deeply fulfilling.”
How do you think art impacts your personal life, and the way you view the world?
“Art feels limitless to me, and I try to approach life in the same way. I see relationships, emotions, experiences as living works of art. Things i love to care for, nurture, and continuously grow through.”
What do you hope to bring to the audience as an artist?
“I hope to create something honest, work that allows people to feel deeply, reflect and connect. Even if it’s just for a brief moment.”
My colleagues are some of the most complex and inspiring people I’ve ever met. Experiencing their artistry and dedication every day constantly challenges and expands me as an artist. It reminds me that artistry is not about perfection but the courage it takes to reveal something real and be vulnerable.
