Begon bij NDT in 2025
Joan Jansana Escobedo, afkomstig uit Barcelona, Spanje, volgde zijn dansopleiding aan het Conservatori Professional de Dansa Institut del Teatre. Hij deed ervaring op bij IT Dansa Jove Companyia en Gauthier Dance Juniors//Theaterhaus Stuttgart. In augustus 2025 sloot hij zich aan bij NDT 2. Sindsdien werkt hij verder aan zijn ontwikkeling binnen het gezelschap.

How and why did you become a professional dancer?
“Since I was a child, I have always felt the need to move. Movement is my most honest way of expressing myself.”
What is it about NDT that inspires and challenges your artistry?
“NDT inspires me daily through its creativity and innovation. My colleagues, the choreographers, and the entire team constantly challenge me, which helps me grow both technically and artistically.”
What do you hope to bring to the audience as an artist?
“I want to share who I am through a genuine connection with the audience. I want people to feel what dance makes me feel and to make every performance meaningful through my movement.”
I think art is the most human way to connect and communicate with one another.
