“Attending Elsewhere is a work requiring the performers to move between multiple streams of information. Attention spans the body, the space, one another, the choreographic material and the unfolding moment. In this distracted state, the performers find themselves choosing between competing impulses, which produces a dance of constant decision making and reorientation. ”

“This work focuses on a painful yet impactful memory. One that we try to forget, yet deeply remember and can’t let go of. It often seems like moments that cause pain are more memorable. Perhaps these moments spark growth, antagonizing us to propel forward. Or perhaps we drown in trying to erase it completely from our minds. Nonetheless, through exploration of speech, core articulation, and freedom of expression; this cast investigates the complexity of emotions that come along with memory. ”
