Live streams at NDT

We strive to broadcast several performances of each program in the 2021-2022 season live from Amare in The Hague to dance lover’s homes all over the world via live streams on the NDT website. Some performances danced by the dancers of NDT on stage in Amare will be filmed live and then streamed. This means that you can attend the performance live at home, and watch the performance on a screen in your own living room. This is by no means a diluted theater experience. The dancers and support teams make every effort to make your visit to our online 'theatre' as special and inspiring as possible.

Tickets for the live streams cost € 15 each.

Once you paid on our website with creditcard or Ideal, you will automatically receive an email with an access link. With this link you can watch the live stream. This is a personal and unique link, so we advice you not to share it with anyone. The stream can only be watched on one device at the time!

Please note: if you bought tickets through Amare box office / ticket system, you will first receive a confirmation of  your order (in Dutch). Shortly before the performance you will receive another e-mail with the unique access link.

After your payment you will receive a unique link in the email address you used. Perhaps the mail ended up in your spam box, you can search the subject of the confirmation mail, it starts with: 'Please, your unique link for...'. Can't find the link? Send a mail to info@ndt.nl.

We strongly advice NOT to send the link to someone else, in case you want to view teh stream yourself. De live stream is available on one device only. First one that clicks the link, can watch.

• You'll need a device to watch the livestream, we advise a tablet, laptop or desktop PC with an updated browser. Alternatively you can watch on your smartphone.
• You'll need a good internet connection, preferably via a cable, but wifi or 4G will also work.
• You'll need the unique access link. After we received your payment, we will automatically send you the access link.

The livestream can be played on any screen: on your PC, laptop, phone or iPad / tablet. For the best theater experience, we recommend using the largest screen possible, or connecting your laptop to a television screen, for example (read how to do this here).

For questions, we ask you to contact the box office of the Zuiderstrandtheater:

• Available by phone from Tuesday to Friday, 1-5 PM:  070 88 00 333 (from August 18, Tue-Sat 1-6 PM)
• The box ofiice is closed from July 25 until August 18.
• Bespreekbureau in the Central Library/VVV opened from August 25 : Tue-Fri, 1-6 PM
• The box office in  Zuiderstrandtheater is open 30 minutes before start of every performance.

No, immediately after the live stream, the performance cannot be watched back.

On May 11 & 13 Raw are the roots will be live streamed from our hometown The Hague in the Netherlands. Your livestream ticket gives access to the online show on either Thursday May 11 or Saturday May 13. The performance starts at 20:15 (CEST). With a livestream ticket, you will gain access on May 11 and/or 13 at 20:15 (CEST). Order your ticket here.

Please make sure you click on the link in advance, so you can check if everything is working properly (internet connection, tv-casting, browsercheck, etc.). You can also use this time to read the digital programme booklet that we will provide, as well as an online video introduction to the performance with background info on creations, choreographers and dancers.

During a livestream, our online help desk is available to you via the chat in Digital Theater. Open the chat via the icon at the bottom right. It is also possible to receive help directly via an email to info@ndt.nl.

We advice to use a recently update webbrowser, such as Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge. Please check or update your browser on time before the live stream starts.

In most of the cases, it will help te refresh the webpage in your browser. You can do so by clicking on F5 (Windows) on your keyboard, or  Command ⌘ + R (Mac) . Or use the icon that is visible in the browser (arrow) to refresh. Then click on the 'start stream' button again and the click the 'playbutton'.

If this doesn't work, please check the following steps:

• Please check if you use the correct link for access to the live stream
• Check your internet connection (if you can, use a wired internet connection)
• Check if your browser has had  recent update.
• Check if cookies in your browser are enabled.
• Check if the batteries of your device are fully loaded.

You will receive a unique link after payment. Do not share it with others as it can only be used on one device at a time.

No, if you pause the live stream and play again later, the stream will start at the live moment. It will not be recorded.

We recommend using the link on 1 device.

Zuiderstrandtheater asks you to only order tickts for you and your own household, so they are able to maintain the 1,5 meter distance between different households.

You can, but switching devices during the live stream is not recommended. We cannot guarantee that the stream will continue to work.
