Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) is one of the world’s leading contemporary dance companies. With two companies and a total of 48 dancers, NDT tours the globe. Behind the scenes, a passionate team of around 70 professionals works daily to create unforgettable performances. From medical support, lighting and sound design, costumes and marketing to educational programmes: everything revolves around quality — and people.

For our Company Management department, we are looking for an organised and independent colleague to join the team.

What You’ll Do?

Company Management is responsible for planning, organising and supervising national and international tours. As Company Manager, you act as the point of contact for the dancers, the artistic staff, visiting artistic teams and external partners. In addition, you will work closely with the various departments (including Production, Technical, Costume Workshop, Talent Development & Education, Marketing, Communications & Development).

  • You will be involved in the preparation, practical execution and supervision of production periods leading up to premieres.
  • You will be responsible for the coordination, organisation, logistics and supervision of domestic performances and international tours.
  • You will take charge of the logistical coordination for the creative team and act as host during the creation and/or rehearsal process.
  • You will provide practical assistance with the overall organisation of the annual auditions.
  • In addition, you will offer support with scheduling and planning, and administrative tasks will also form part of your varied role.

Who Are You?

As well as a passion for culture and an eye for detail, you will recognise yourself in the following:

  • You have a higher vocational education (HBO) level of working and thinking
  • You have at least 1–3 years’ experience in the organisational, production and logistical management of groups, preferably during international tours.
  • You have a good command of both Dutch and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
  • You are flexible, both in terms of adaptability and working hours.
  • You are creative and can cope with unexpected circumstances.
  • You have strong problem-solving skills and are able to work under pressure.
  • You have excellent organisational skills and are a strong communicator.
  • You hold a first-aid certificate or are willing to undertake a course to obtain one.
  • You are preferably based in The Hague and willing to travel (internationally).
  • General knowledge of the international contemporary dance sector and an interest in contemporary dance are an advantage.
