NDT appoints new Managing Director

The Supervisory Board of Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) has appointed Willemijn Maas as Managing Director of NDT with effect from May 1, 2019. She succeeds Janine Dijkmeijer, who, as previously announced, will leave NDT at the end of the season in July 2019. In this way a careful transfer is guaranteed.

Willemijn Maas is currently an independent interim director, advisor and supervisor. After a career in health care and (higher) education from 2006 to 2013, she was General Director of the former Dutch public broadcasting association AVRO. Maas has been appointed for a period of 4 years. She will form the Executive Board of NDT together with Artistic Director Paul Lightfoot.

The Supervisory Board is pleased to have found a Managing Director in Willemijn Maas with extensive managerial experience in the cultural sector. She is also a connecting team player with a broad perspective on society.

The Supervisory Board proceeded with the appointment after a careful procedure in which employee participation was closely involved.

On behalf of the NDT Supervisory Board,

Pauline van der Meer Mohr
