Nederlands Dans Theater 1 returns to New York with a 2016 season that includes four U.S. premieres by Sol León and Paul Lightfoot, Crystal Pite, and Marco Goecke, running November 16 – 19, 2016 at New York City Center.
Nederlands Dans Theater, under the Artistic Direction of choreographer Paul Lightfoot, is recognized as one of the world’s most prolific and creative contemporary dance companies.

We return to the Big Apple with a full agenda. Not only four performances in a row at New York City Center but lots of interesting masterclasses and previews as well!
November 11, we start with Masterclasses at the famous The Juilliard School and Barnard College.
Then, November 12, there is a performance (Shutter Shut by Sol León & Paul Lightfoot) at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
If you were lucky enough to get tickets, you can join NDT dancers Myrthe van Opstal & Chuck Jones for two Masterclasses at New York City Center, November 12 and 13.
November 14th starts with two masterclasses at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School. Followed by 'The creative forces behind NDT', a conversation with house choreographers Sol León & Paul Lightfoot and a preview for the performances later this week (location New York City Center)
November 15, is the final preview for the 'Works and Process series' at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and a special interview with Sol León & Paul Lightfoot,
Then finally it is time for the NDT 1 performances at New York City Center, November 16-19, featuring 4 ballets: Safe as Houses, Woke Up Blind, The Statement and Stop-Motion.
The final performance will be in the presence of HRH Princess Margriet and Prof. Mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven.
