Ontwikkel je danstalent door samen met een van onze dansers te werken met het repertoire van onze choreografen. Zo maak je kennis met onze werkwijze, het repertoire en de verschillende danstalen die het NDT rijk is. Het repertoire dat het uitgangspunt is zal diezelfde avond te zien zijn in het Lucent Danstheater.Om deel te nemen aan ‘Open studio’ moet je op een dansvakschool zitten of afgestudeerd danser zijn.

let op: voor Programma V wordt dezelfde voorstelling twee keer op één avond uitgevoerd. Doe je mee aan 'Open studio' en bezoek je op 11 mei de voorstelling van programma V, denk er dan aan dat de workshop tot 19.00u duurt. Je kunt dus alleen kaarten reserveren voor de tweede voorstelling om 21.00u.

Program
‘Nederlands Dans Theater Summer Intensive’ is a unique experience which takes place in the atmosphere and surroundings of our company’s home. In our studios you will take part in an intensive training program comprised of our company repertoire, workshops new composition and classes, focused on dance techniques. We offer a professional training program aimed at developing yourself as a versatile contemporary dancer, which will be overseen by our international artistic team of choreographers and teachers. The repertoire of NDT’s resident and associate choreographers form the basis of this two weeks course. This will be combined with your participation in the creation of a new work by one of our upcoming NDT-affiliated choreographers. The program is completed with ballet classes, Ohad Naharin’s Gaga technique classes and improvisation workshops, creating a structure very similar to the training of our dancers. In this edition we will be focusing on the repertoire by Paul Lightfoot & Sol León, Jiří Kylián and Crystal Pite. Ultimately this will be an exclusive opportunity for a select group of dancers to experience the knowledge, inspiration and passion of our artistic team as well as working side by side with our dancers. 

To create an even more complete experience, ‘Nederlands Dans Theater Summer Intensive’ also offers a special auxiliary program including master classes and various discussion topics. All extra activities are related to NDT and its history within the field of contemporary dance. This additional aspect of our program will provide you with more in-depth knowledge and, we are certain, will challenge you to further investigate the many layers and perceptions of contemporary dance.

Registration & audition   
The two week program is especially created for (pre)professional dancers aged 14 till 30 years old. Registration for ‘Nederlands Dans Theater Summer Intensive’ will open on 14 January 2013! We advise everyone to read the terms&conditions and audition procedure carefully. The information will help you during the audition procedure and we will apply the rules as stated in these documents at any stage.

To audition for the ‘Nederlands Dans Theater Summer Intensive’ you will have to submit a digital registration. This registration should last no longer than 10 minutes and show a part of a ballet class (barre and centre) and a contemporary solo. All fragments should be accompanied with music. We do not want to see pointe work. More information about auditioning can be found in the audition procedure. There is a limited amount of 60 places available for the Summer Intensive. The artistic staff of NDT selects the participants based on experience, technical development and creativity.     

Schedule
The selected participants for ‘Nederlands Dans Theater Summer Intensive’ will be divided by the artistic staff into three groups: group A, B and C. This division will be made based on age. The choice of content for the classes and the selected repertoire is based on age and level of the participants in each group.

Scholarship 
NDT offers Scholarships for young talented dancers who need help to finance their participation in the Summer Intensive. To fund these scholarships, Nederlands Dans Theater works together with sponsors and guest families who generously offer to help with funding or who open their home to accommodate participants during the course.       

Unfortunately, we can only offer a limited amount of scholarships! Therefore, if your participation in the course depends on the extra funding, we highly recommend you to also apply for a scholarship elsewhere. We are happy to help you with the application and will offer all the information you need.  

A scholarship from NDT funds (part of) the course fee and/or offers housing in a guest home. The scholarships will be selected by a committee made up of members of the artistic staff of our company. The applications will be judged on talent and financial need. Only participants who fulfill both criteria will be considered for a scholarship.         

To apply for a scholarship, you need to inform us on your online registration form and supply us with information about your personal connection to NDT, why you want to participate in our Summer Intensive and what your future vision is. Masterclass NDT    
Tijdens de Masterclass NDT ontmoet je de dansers van ons gezelschap voor een intensieve middag in onze studio’s. Het eerste gedeelte van de middag ga je met één van onze dansers aan de slag met ons repertoire, het tweede gedeelte van de middag krijg je een compositieworkshop. Een verdiepende workshopmiddag voor professionele dansers of studenten aan een dansacademie.

'Masterclass NDT' vindt niet meer plaats in seizoen 2012-2013. In de zomer van 2013 verschijnt het nieuwe aanbod voor het seizoen 2013-2014 op deze pagina.
