Dans verkennen
We challenge every curious dance lover to discover dance in a different way. Don't limit your perspective of our choreographers' work to the view from your seat in the theatre. In ‘Dans verkennen’ you will experience the dance material with your own body before or after seeing the performance in the theatre. Dance experience or knowledge is not required for this activity, only enthusiasm.The performance by NDT 2, which is the source of inspiration for the workshop, can be seen that same evening in the Lucent Danstheater.

De danstaal van...
Experiencing dance can go beyond merely attending a performance. We invite you to take a closer look at the dance language of one of our choreographers with us. During an afternoon in our studios we will discuss his background and what motivates him. We also attend a rehearsal, talk with one of the dancers and you will dance yourself. The works by Pite, which are the point of departure for the workshop, can be seen that same evening in the Lucent Danstheater.

Open deuren
Take a look behind the scenes right before the performance starts. Discover all the things that go on there and experience what a day in our theatre is like. You see all the steps in the creative process: from the studio to the costume department, and from the dressing room to the stage. We will show you areas you may have heard of, but have never seen before. 'Open deuren’ is an inspiration for everybody who loves dance!

Dansretour (new!)
During ‘Dansretour’ you experience two connected dance moments at NDT. The first workshop takes place before attending a performance. You become acquainted with our latest production and we focus on dance technique and repertoire. That same evening you attend the performance that is the source of inspiration for the workshop in the Lucent Danstheater. A week later you return for the second workshop, where we go deeper into the dance material and your experience of the performance.

Kijken naar dans
For people who don't know anything about dance, this is an inspiring introduction. If you are an experienced theatregoer, then this will add an interesting touch to your theatre visit.‘Kijken naar dans’ is a theoretical introduction to modern dance and dance analysis. We explore the question of how you can look at dance from this theoretical background as well as physical experience. Programme II by NDT 1 is the point of departure for this workshop, and is performed that same evening in the Lucent Danstheater.

Knipoog
It is an hour before the performance starts, the whole company is getting ready. The audience, however, still has plenty of time to get to the theatre. Or do they? We challenge you to show up an hour early at our artists' entrance for a ‘Knipoog’. A ‘Knipoog’ takes place before every new production and is different each time. A ‘Knipoog’ will surprise you, startle you and will give you an unexpected new perspective on our company. The only way to find out what a ‘Knipoog’ means is to accept the challenge… Please note: we only have limited places available! You can make reservations for a ‘Knipoog’ two weeks before the performance date.

Enkeltje dans
Our most recent production takes centre stage during ‘One-way ticket to dance’. For all dance lovers with experience, who want to improve their technique and, at the same time, become acquainted with our repertory. We focus on one choreography from the programme, which is performed that same evening in the Lucent Danstheater.
