Underneath

Medhi Walerski made his debut for his former Nederlands Dans Theater I colleagues with Underneath in November 2008. Underneath is a surprising ballet with a large wall on the stage, within which a mysterious community with strange features lives, overcome by loneliness and and in search of each other and themselves. Group dance and touching duets alternate. The music perfectly fits the uncomfortable atmosphere. Walerski also uses special video projections of an underwater world in the ballet. A brilliant and much promising work for this young dance maker!
