Masculine / Feminine - wereldpremière Lukáš Timulak

Following Offspring from 2009, Choreographer Lukáš Timulak, former dancer with Nederlands Dans Theater, has created new work for Nederlands Dans Theater II.

The Slovakian Lukáš Timulak (1979) danced with Nederlands Dans Theater II from 2000 to 2002; from 2002 until the end of the 2009-2010 season he was a leading dancer with Nederlands Dans Theater I. Timulak also started choreographing with Nederlands Dans Theater in 2001. His creative talent was discovered during the annual Choreography Workshops. This is why he was given the opportunity to make new work for Nederlands Dans Theater I in the programme ‘Upcoming Choreographers’ 2005 and 2006. He got good reviews for Twenty (2005). Timulak managed to pass  on his unique body coordination to his fellow dancers and showed that he also had a lot to offer choreographically. In 2006 he again created new work for ‘Upcoming Choreographers’: I saw I was I.

In 2007 Timulak made his debut in Nederlands Dans Theater’s regular programme with the successful Oneness for Nederlands Dans Theater II. Offspring was his second for Nederlands Dans Theater II.
